Not me Monday!!

This blog carnival was created by MckMama over at Mycharmingkids.net..go over and check it out and join in the fun!!

It was not me who picked her baby up at a restaurant in front of a bunch of people, and smelled his crotch to make sure he didn’t poop. Nope, not me…that’s very rude and tactless, and I have tact.

I also didn’t bring Prince L out in the cold October rain to watch his big sister cheer at the High School Homecoming game. Nope, not me! I’d never bring my baby out in the cold rain.

It’s also not me that’s been running around our house with a can of Lysol spraying everything that Princess M comes in contact with. I would never do that, (especially not after giving a speech about how the media is scaring everyone with the H1N1 stuff and it’s really “not that bad”) Nope, not me…I stick with what I believe!

And lastly it’s definitely not our family that already has Christmas lights up, with pumpkins on the front porch..Nope not us!

Hopefully you got a few laughs from me…Until next time, don’t forget to floss!

To my Husband

I’ve been wanting to write a post about my Prince Charming…It’s so easy for me to talk about my kids, but when I have to put into words what hubby means to me it’s difficult.

He is so funny! Can always make me laugh, even when Im mad. (which sometimes drives me crazy!) He has such a great sense of humor, kind of dirty at times, but still super funny!

He loves to play with the kids. He’ll get down on the floor and crawl around with them. They love it, and so does he. When they do this, I love to get out the video camera and just make it a memory.

He works hard for us. He is so amazing. He works two jobs so that I can work part time to be with the kids more. I don’t tell him often, but I appreciate it more than he knows. He never takes times off of work, and even does work on the side. He is truly amazing.

He accepts my family without a question (even when I am not so nice about his) they needed a place to live and there wasn’t even a second that he hesitated. It wasn't even a question. “Thank you baby!!”

He loves me…probably more than anyone ever has. He thinks I’m beautiful, even when I don’t. He thinks' I’m sexy, even when I don’t. He loves to flirt with me, joke with me, and pretty much just be goofy with me! I love it. He makes me feel so loved, sometimes I don’t know how to react.

“I know I don’t tell you nearly enough honey, I love you more than these words can express. You are my heart and soul, and there is no one else I’d rather be walking through life with than you! You are my life and the air I breathe. I could never do this without you.”

Until next time….don’t forget to floss!!

Not me Monday!

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

It sure wasn't freezing out this morning. And if it was, there would be no way I’d bring Prince L out without his hat! Nope, not me! I would make sure the find the lost hat, before leaving the house!

Speaking of the cold weather…there’s no way I’d drag my bundled up children, costumes and all, to Boo! at the Zoo. No way would I go and spend a few hours walking around in the freezing cold, especially with a 10 month old!!

I really don’t think it was me that put a few extra toys in Prince L’s crib in hopes that he’d just play in the morning instead of crying and waking me up..(he didn’t give 2 hoots about those toys anyways)

Finally…I’m pretty sure it wasn’t my husband that was feeding Prince L last night and pulled a dried up booger out of his nose, then handed it to me..that is so gross and I know my husband has more class than that!

Ok, that’s all I have for the week…until next time, don’t forget to floss!!

The Rock and Roll hall of fame..Cleveland Browns and a few others?

The Cleveland Rock Hall…ever been there? I haven’t and I live about 20 minutes east of it.

Ever seen the Cleveland Browns lose a game in person? No? Me either.

How about Labron James? Ever seen him running down the court? You guessed it. Me either.

I was recently on a website that gives me ideas of things to blog about, when I came across this: What tourist attractions do you live by, that you’ve never seen? It’s funny, because all of the things Cleveland is known for, I have never seen. I guess I must be waiting for an engraved invitation. Wonder if they sent it out yet?

Of those that I haven’t seen, the only one I actually want to see is a Cavs game. Are there any attractions in your area that you’ve never seen? Let me know!

Until next time, don’t forget to floss!!

5 question Friday…on a Saturday!

My Little Life

I know, I’m a day late..Oh well! Head on over to Mama M’s place and check out her “Five question Fridays” It makes you think, and it’s a fun time!

1. What phrase, or phrases, do you say a lot (holy cow, geez, seriously?)

Well if were talking out loud, I say “oh my god” a lot. But if I’m typing or texting I say “ lol” way too much!

2. Swimming: Are you a kamikaze off the boat, take the plunge from the deep end, or a gradual, slow submersion from the shore or shallow end kind of person?

I almost always have to ease my way in from the kiddie pool.

3. Have any tattoos? If not, what would you get?

I have 2. The first one I regret and I am determined to get it covered. It’s a very ugly “butterfly type thing” on my foot. I was in such a hurry to get a tattoo I got that crap! The second one I love. My sister and I both got the same thing. It’s actual notes from the sheet music to “only the good die young” by Billy Joel. We got in in memory of our mom who died at the very young age of 45, and whom was also a huge Billy Joel fan.

4. What is your favorite tree?

Cherry blossom trees are so pretty!

5. Two pronged question: What is your favorite non-physical thing about your spouse? What is your favorite physical thing about your spouse or significant other?

I love that he loves to flirt with me! It’s so cute! I love his smile and his cute little butt!!

Not Me Monday!!!

This is so much fun! Head on over to MckMamma's place and join in the fun!!

After being home from work on my long weekend, for only 2 of the 4 days. I did not tell my husband I'd rather go to work because it's less stressful and they pay me to be there! Nope, I'd never want to be anywhere but with my babies!

Also on a family outing to the farm park yesterday, I did not lose Prince L's binky. Nope! I'd never lose that thing, it's more precious than gold!

And there's no way, I'd keep saying "yes" every time Princess M asked for another candy corn, just to get her out of my hair! I don't use candy as a babysitter! That would go against all I believe in, especially being a DA (dental assistant) and all!

Never would I leave my beautiful babies in the car while I ran into the gas station to complain to the attendant! (i could see them from the window). Nope! I don't leave my kids alone for a even a second!

And lastly I know it wasn't me that used their baby's shirt to wipe a booger off of his face. That's just disgusting and I'd never do that!

I hope you got some laughs from me! And until next time, don't forget to floss!

Honorable mention.

So last night Princess M had her very first cheerleading competition. I use the term competition lightly. It was mostly younger girls, between the ages of 5 and 9 doing cute little cheers.

014

010

All the teams got awarded for one thing or another. Most spirit, loudest team, most entertaining..you get the point.

Our team got Most Spirited team!!

017

There were a few teams that took this very seriously. Back flips and all! Very seriously. But mostly, it was just a fun event.

The 2nd half of the night consisted of girls doing jumps and tumbles. They had the girls mixed into age categories and they each did a cheer jump, or back flip.  Well my sweet little girl got honorable mention!  I know it didn't really count for much, but when they said her name, I really did choke up  just a little. I don't’ even know if she really understood what was going on, but she was so proud of that green ribbon! When they called her name she walked halfway out onto the floor, then looked back at her coaches, like..”should i do that jump again, or what?” It was really cute! This is pretty much the end of the cheer season for our town, but I know she loved it so much, we’ll be doing this next year too!

The Best Day.

I absolutely love this song. It’s just a girl talking about her Mother, and the day they had. It’ the best!

Taylor Swift, The Best Day Lyrics

I'm five years old and it's getting cold
I've got my big coat on
I hear your laugh and look up smiling at you
I run and run
Past the pumpkin patch and the tractor rides
Look now the sky is gold
I hug your legs and fall asleep on the way home
I don't know why all the trees change in the fall
I know you're not scared of anything at all
Don't know if Snow White's house is near or far away
But I know I had the best day with you today
I'm thirteen now and don't know how my friends could be so mean
I come home crying and you hold me tight and grab the keys
And we drive and drive until we found a town far enough away
And we talk and window shop till I forgot all their names
I don't know who I'm gonna talk to now at school
But I know I'm laughing on the car ride home with you
Don't know how long it's gonna take to feel okay
But I know I had the best day with you today
I have an excellent father
His strength is making me stronger
God smiles on my little brother
Inside and out he's better than I am
I grew up in a pretty house and I had space to run
And I had the best days with you
There is a video I found from back when I was three
You set up a paint set in the kitchen and you're talking to me
It's the age of princesses and pirate ships and the seven dwarfs
Daddy's smart and you're the prettiest lady in the whole wide world
Now I know why all the trees change in the fall
I know you were on my side even when I was wrong
And I love you for giving me your eyes
Staying back and watching me shine and I didn't know if you knew
So I'm taking this chance to say that I had the best day with you today

Five question Friday!

My Little Life

I love doing this..Head on over to My little life to check it out and join in the fun!

1. What is the one thing that you reach for the most in a day (excluding phones, computer or children's butts for spankings)? When I’m at work, its a pen..I feel like I can never find one! and at home, I’d have to say Prince L’s binky!

2. What is the farthest you have been from home? Myrtle Beach…Loved it!

3. What kind of cell phone do you have? Love it or hate it?Well I just got a Samsung Magnet..I don't hate it, but I do wish the keys were a little bigger for texting.

4. Coke or Pepsi? Diet coke…100%

5. If you could go back and change anything about your wedding day, what would it be and why? To have an actual wedding ceremony, and not go to the court house.

A letter to my Mother…

I often wish we had been closer. I also wish there was a way for me to let go of so many things I hold inside. I have so much anger and resentment just sitting there. There are so many things I wish I could have had the courage to ask you.

Why did you let me go with him? Weren't you worried about me? How could you not know? HOW COULD YOU NOT KNOW?? Why didn’t you ever ask? Was it just easier to send me away with him, than to deal with me…and love me?

Why did you send me to school in dirty clothes? Why didn’t you pack me a lunch? Why didn’t you spend time with me? Why didn’t you tell me about boys? Friends? Sex? Why did you call me stupid? A bitch? Why didn’t you take better care of me, of them??? We were just kids! Babies. Children. They were worthless men…where are they now?

…Why didn’t you love me? Yes I’m sure you did…but I just never felt it.

What about being a mother? Giving birth? Having a newborn? Having a daughter? Having a son? I have no idea what I’m doing. None whatsoever…I wing it every day. I question every little thing…everything! “Will this screw her up?” “Will she remember this advice?” “Should I even feed him this?” “Should I let her have another pack of fruit-snacks” “Did I yell too loud?”

I know after the alcohol wore off, and you became sober you were finally a different person. But then It was too late, I had no idea who you were. And I was too mad to find out. I never thanked you for letting me live with them.

“MOMMY, THANK YOU SO MUCH…YOU SAVED ME FROM MYSELF THE DAY YOU LET HER TAKE ME IN..WHEN I THINK OF HAPPY TIMES WITH YOU, I HAVE TO GO BACK TO BEING 3 OR 4. YOU TOOK ME TO SCHOOL…I DIDN’T WANT YOU TO GO…I BEGGED AND PLEADED…CRIED! YOU HAD TO GO..YOU’D SEE ME SOON. THEN THE SCHOOL DAY ENDED AND GUESS WHO CAME TO PICK ME UP? YOU…THERE YOU WERE AND I RAN TO YOUR ARMS…I ALWAYS JUST WANTED YOUR LOVE AND ATTENTION..I HOPE WHERE EVER YOU ARE..YOU CAN READ THIS. REST IN PEACE MOMMY”

My 5 year old goes to a concert

When I first bought the tickets I thought It was a great idea. I mean she loves Taylor Swift, so why not? Then I had them for so long and started thinking maybe it wasn't such a great idea after all. I just kept thinking “a 5 year old, going to a concert?” There was actually  a point when I thought about selling the tickets. I am so glad I didn’t!!!

taylorswift-fearlessukedition2009

I wish I had pictures to show what an amazing time Princess M had. She danced, sang, clapped jumped up and down! Pretty much had the time of her life! I don’t know If it was the show, or my daughters excitement that I enjoyed more. I’m sure when I look back on that concert in a few years the only thing I’ll remember is Princess M telling me “thank you sooo much for my surprise Mommy! It was so much fun..Taylor swift is so pretty”

You’re the prettiest of all, Princess M!!

Until next time, don’t forget to floss!!!

Not Me Monday!!!

Please come and join all the fun over at MckMama's place. It is a safe place to admit the things you definitely couldn't and wouldn't ever happen with you around.

I didn't make up a lie about having "dinner in the crock pot" to my neighbor, to get out of having dinner at her house. Nope! Not me, I love spending time with my neighbors.

There's no way I put on The Mickey Mouse Club House for my 9 month old to keep him occupied while I was reading a magazine. I never make the TV a babysitter!

I also didn't put a headband on my baby boy, just to get a few laughs...I'd never torture my kids for my own satisfaction!

Also there's no way that when I moved the couch today to find my cell phone and found a bunch of other crap under there (IE: cheerios, dryer sheet, board books) that I grabbed the cell phone and pushed the couch right back into position. Nope! There's no way I'd leave a bunch of junk under my couch.

And finally there certainly isn't a pile of clean towels sitting on my couch waiting to be folded while I type this. Nope...my clothes get folded right from the dryer, they never sit for over a day. NOPE! NOT AT ALL!

Seriously, I named my blog this for a reason…

It truly amazes me how many people truly do not care about or have no knowledge of oral health!

Your children should see the dentist by their 1st birthday. Not their third birthday, or when they start kindergarten…their 1st birthday!

Please do not assume your 5 year old is brushing their teeth correctly. Actually, please don’t assume your 7 or 10 year old is for that matter!! If your child is younger, let them do it then you do it again. If your child is older check their work…just like in school! If you take them to the dentist and they have cavities..don’t wonder why. They are children and need help with this.

Make sure you teach your children how to floss. Make sure you know how to floss before you teach them! Please stop sawing the floss!! If your gums bleed when you floss, it’s not because of the floss. It’s because you don’t floss.

m104879_v1_how2floss2

Also, please do not instill your fear of the dentist into them! You may not realize it, but they hear you saying “ oh my god, I hate the dentist…the sound of the drill is blah blah blah” Just stop! Why do you think your child has to be put to sleep for dental work? Because someone terrified them of the dentist so much that they freak out every time they have to go!

Just stop..and don’t forget to floss!
