Kitty cats and chickens.

I absolutely love fall! The smells, colors, clothes, activities. Pretty much everything!! I love that we finally live in a home that we can decorate for the season! Before we moved, we had never decorated for fall. This past weekend we got right to it!

007

Well, hubby did anyway. :)

We also got this pretty awesome pumpkin..Princess M seems to really like it.

008

I also got some really pretty mauve colored mums. Sorry, no pictures of those, I’m pretty sure everyone knows what mums look like.

I can’t wait to get Princess M’s  costume together so I can post pictures of that too. She’s being a ballerina/kitty and Prince L is being a chicken. The first time I tried the costume on him, I think I laughed for about 5 minutes straight.  Then he started laughing, so I laughed even harder and on and on..you get the picture.

Until next time, don’t forget to floss!

Not me Monday

I've been following MckMama for a while now, and I've never done my own "not me Monday". So here goes!

I didn't give my 9 month old french fries from McDonald's today, not me! I always give my children healthy and nutritious foods.

I didn't let my 5 year old roam around the children's section of the library while I looked at the magazine rack. (it's within arms reach). I'd never walk away from my child, even for a second. Nope! Not me!

I didn't tell my hubby I'd watch a movie with him, only to fall asleep. Not me! I always spend quality time with my man!

I didn't let Prince L play with my germ infested keys, just too keep him quiet. I'd never do that, not me!!!

I'd also NEVER, EVER FORGET TO FLOSS! NOT ME, I FLOSS AFTER EVERY MEAL. :)

Music to my ears

I think the best sound in the world is your baby’s first cry. You wait 9 (almost 10) months for it, then one day..there it is. Loud and clear! Letting you know, it’s all going to be OK.

It was music to my ears, for sure!

Then as they grow, you talk and try to teach them to talk.  They make sounds, screeches and giggles. But still you’re waiting for that “real” first Mama, or Dada. Then one day, there they are saying “mamamamama” and your heart literally skips a beat! It makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.  Almost like your heart is melting.

That’s how I felt today, it was music to my ears!

I know he’s not really calling me Mama, but still just the sound of it made my day! I love you little man.

Until next time, don’t forget to floss!!!

4. Are you a glass half empty or half full kinda person?
5. What perfume/cologne do you wear?
1. What celebrity have you been told you look like?

I've never really been told that I look like a celeb. Hmmm, and I don't see a resemblance to anyone either.

2. What is your all time favorite movie, any special reason why?

Hands down, would have to be Grease! #1 I love all the songs, and I know all the words! #2, It will always remind my of my mom, as she's the one who introduced me to it in the first place.

3. Since we're talkin' movies...Popcorn: overrated, underrated, or 'bout right?

Underrated! I think popcorn should be a food group! I am soo addicted, it isn't even funny.

4. Are you a glass half empty or half full kinda person?

My husband says I'm kind of a negative person. So I'd love to say I'm a glass Half Full kind of girl, but I'd be lying.

5. What perfume/cologne do you wear?

Heavenly, by Victoria's Secret. I just love that scent.

They say the clothes make the man…er woman.

Well apparently my clothes say I’m a bum! Ha!

Ever since I had Prince L (December) and haven’t been able to lose this last 12 (or 20) lbs I seem to live in my sweatpants, cotton shorts or gauchos. I almost never wear jeans. I recently broke down and bought one pair at a bigger size than I wore pre-Prince L.

You see, before I got pregnant with the Prince I had recently lost over 40lbs! It was great! I had bought so many new and might I add, very cute clothes. Then my dream came true…I found out I was pregnant!!! I was beyond excited. Then my worst dreams came true…I gained 40ish lbs. Ugh…I had worked so hard to lose it. Then my ass got huge, my hips got wider and my thighs got a new zip code.

So here I am almost 10 months later and and have lost half of what I had gained. I have no motivation to try and lost it again. I know my old jeans and cute sweaters should be motivation enough, but that’s not doing it!

Where do you get the motivation to work out?  After working and taking care of the Prince and Princess I am beat! I just want to lay on the couch and eat junk food watch TV with my hubby---in my sweatpants!

Until next time…don’t forget to floss!

Family

What does family mean to you?

The person you chose to spend the rest of your life with?

Having the same parents?

Your brother?

A really close friend that your pretty certain God forgot to give you as a sister?

The people that are there when times get tough? That you can depend on, no matter what?

Before I started this post, I was feeling sorry for myself. I was feeling like I don't have much of a family. Obviously looking at these pictures I am very blessed! I guess I just needed a reminder.

When you’re feeling lonely like I was, just count your blessings. Even if you have to search through all your picture folders to do so!

Until next time…don’t forget to floss!!

The other man in my life

Fussy baby

Prince L is fussy. Prince L is almost always fussy at night. He lays in his crib and whines, and babbles. Same thing happens every night. We wake up and stumble to his room, feel around in the pitch black for his binky...hopefully finding said binky without turning on the lights or having to crawl under his crib. Then give him the binky back, only to have to do this again in an hour or so.

I don't know why, but Prince L has never been a good sleeper. I don't know if it goes back to his having colic or that he's always teething. Either way, a full nights sleeps would be awesome! Then again, I would probablly wake up in a panic because he never woke up. Guess it's a loose, loose!

I'm going to go floss my teeth and head off to bed. I'm sure I'll be up in an hour or so, searching for a binky.

Untill next time, don't forget to floss!!

"The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.."

Do you know who said that?

How about this one? "Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened."

Anybody?? Dr. Seuss!!!

I absolutely love these quotes! I actually wrote them both down in the kids journals tonite. They are both so inspirational. The title quote really hits home today, because at Princess M's open house tonite, they told us that she is reading at the level of a kindergartener who has been learning to read for 7 months! My baby is READING! They even have her in an advanced group of kids! I am so proud...As a mother, it makes me feel like I'm doing something right.  It's really  a great feeling. When at other times, we doubt ourselves and the choices we make for our children. Or we have guilt for the choices we did make, or the things we said or didn't say.

I have to admit, that when she is fully capable of reading a book to herself I will be sad. No longer will she need me to read to her. Yes, I'm sure she'lll want me to, but it will never be the same..I'll never have the magic of the story on the tip of my own tounge. Instead, the magic of her reading sentences will replace it. It's very bittersweet.

I can't wait to read my little ones a book in the morning. Untill next time.......don't forget to floss.

Curly korkers and pretty flowers

I'm thinking of trying to make hairbows. You know? Those cute curly korkers?  I know how obsessed I am, with finding the perfect matching clips for Princess M's hair..so I imagine there are other Mom's with the same obsession.

I'm pretty big into craft fairs this time of year, and I've honestly never seen anyone selling these, and I'm really surprised! They are so popular on Etsy.com, you'd think they'd be all over the place. Maybe by this time next year, I will have enough made, so that I can bring them to the craft fairs! Wouldn't that be great?? I'll have plenty of time to practice and of course make some for Princess M as well.

I also really like the alligator clips that are covered in ribbon. The possiblities are endless with these! You can add flower, jewels, crowns...pretty much anything! I'm pretty excited to get started, and I can even have Princess M help!

Wish me luck, and untill next time dont forget to floss!

Migraines......are ruling my life!!

I have to admit. I'm really sick and tired of my migraines.

Before I had Prince L, my Dr. had me on a great medicine-that worked! No daily headaches, and maybe one migraine a month, if that. Then when I got pregnant, they gave me a medicine that was safe for pregnancy, but didn't work-at all! Headaches almost everyday and migraines two or three times a month. I was miserable. Once I had prince L, Dr put me back on the meds and low and behold, they didn't work anymore! So now I'm on yet another medicine, and it's not working either. Headaches are ruling my life again! I had one so bad last night, that I still feel it a little today. And I don't get to see my Dr until December 12th! I really don't know if I can make it that long.

Until next time......don't forget to floss!!!

My very 1st blog...here goes nothing!

My main reason for starting my blog is a diary of sorts. A journal for my babies. A scrapbook, if you will. I'd love to remember everything I do with my kids, every minute of everyday, but no one can do that! So here I am blogging about our adventures!

Yep, that's them! Princess M and Prince L! What a cute pair, hu? :) That was a few weeks ago at the pool. Gotta love summer.

My highschool sweetheart (Mr. G) and I  have been together for over 10 years now! WOW...everytime I say it, I can't believe it either. Our wedding took place on March 17, 2006. (HAPPY ST. PATTY'S DAY ALL!!! ) Nothing big, just a special little get together. I just wanted to be Mrs. G...it didnt matter where, or how! That was when Princess M was 2..then we tried for a long time to have Prince L. We were actually told that we may not be able to have him...long story short, he was born on December 12th, 2008. And here we are, 9 months later.

Besides being a mommy, I'm also a DA (dental assistant) I really love doing it. Honestly. Since I HAVE to work (money reasons, of course), I'm glad it's something I love! Now you know where the blog names comes from.

I'll be getting used to my new blog, and hopefully gain a few followers along the way. Untill next time....Don't forget to floss!
