Counting my blessings of the year.
We were truly blessed this year, with the birth of Prince L. He is the light of my days, and the laughter inside of me!! I feel so very lucky to have him.
We were truly blessed to have such a smart/funny/beautiful/creative/caring/loving daughter! She is without a doubt, one of my favorite people!
We were truly blessed to have jobs! I know quite a few people that had to wait in the unemployment line, and thankfully it wasn't either of us.
We were truly blessed to have found a bigger house, and pretty much right at the time it was needed.
We were truly blessed with our health! Not much more than a cold.
We were truly blessed with love...so much to go round!
We were truly blessed with soon to be new members of our family...will be gaining a brother-in-law in the coming year or so! Congrats to the happy couple!
We were truly blessed with friends. I love you all!!
XOXO
Hopefully the coming year will prove to be as wonderful as this one!!!

Five Question Friday
I love doing this blog carnival! Head on over to Mama M’s and join in the fun!
1. Which boygroup did you like most in your teens?
Well in my teens it was N’Sync. But when I was a tween….Oh man, I loved loved loved New kids on the block!!
2. Do you do Christmas cards, letters, photos, nuthin', all of the above?
This year I did family photo cards
3. If you could meet one celebrity who would it be and why?
If you asked me a year ago I would have without a doubt said Kenny Chesney. Now it would have to be Taylor Swift. I absolutely adore her and I think she is a great role model for young girls.
4. Favorite thing to cook with (i.e. stainless, non-stick, Dutch oven, microwave, debit card...or, perhaps, a cauldron, etc.)?
Oh this is easy…as a birthday gift last year I received Rachael Ray pots and pans…need I say more?
5. What is the one thing you wear the most, besides your unmentionables?
Sweats….or scrubs depending on the day!

It was supposed to be cut in a mohawk, but you really can’t see it. Oh well! It’s still super cute!

A five year olds broken heart.
I really didn’t think I’d have to console a broken heart for at least 11 more years.
Today I had to tell my 5 year old that her best friend, our neighbor is moving away. And not across the city. Across the country! First she cried. Then she snuggled up to me and said in the saddest little voice ever..”well, can we still play together?” “No honey, I’m sorry you can’t. But you can write letters and talk on the phone” “But why does she have to move, Mommy? I will miss her so much”
My heart aches for her. This is her very first best friend, not to mention that they live literally next door. There are no other children in our neighborhood, except a few boys that are little older.
When she asked again, why they were moving I just told her that I wasn’t really sure and that her mommy and daddy decided to move. That all of her life things will be changing and there isn’t too much we can do to stop it. She had to sign a birthday card for her friend and she drew a picture of them playing together with flowers and a butterfly that said “I love you laura”
I know her heart is broken tonight, but so is mine.

Not Me Monday!
This blog carnival was created by MckMama! everyone should head on over and join in the fun!
It's certainly Not Me, that keeps swearing she is done Christmas shopping for her children, only to buy "one more thing"
It also wasn't me that gave her baby boy gross, disgusting keys to play with in the store to keep him quiet. Nope, Not Me! I'd never replace the toys I forgot, with germ infested keys!
When I asked my husband to put up our lighted candy canes in the yard, I certainly didn't come home and rearange them...Nope! Not Me!
And lastly, It surely wasn't me that re-gifted a baby shower gift! Nope! I buy everything brand new!

Text...all the time
4. What is your must have beauty product?

Not me Monday!!
This blog carnival was created by MckMama over at Mycharmingkids.net..go over and check it out and join in the fun!!
It was not me who picked her baby up at a restaurant in front of a bunch of people, and smelled his crotch to make sure he didn’t poop. Nope, not me…that’s very rude and tactless, and I have tact.
I also didn’t bring Prince L out in the cold October rain to watch his big sister cheer at the High School Homecoming game. Nope, not me! I’d never bring my baby out in the cold rain.
It’s also not me that’s been running around our house with a can of Lysol spraying everything that Princess M comes in contact with. I would never do that, (especially not after giving a speech about how the media is scaring everyone with the H1N1 stuff and it’s really “not that bad”) Nope, not me…I stick with what I believe!
And lastly it’s definitely not our family that already has Christmas lights up, with pumpkins on the front porch..Nope not us!
Hopefully you got a few laughs from me…Until next time, don’t forget to floss!

To my Husband
I’ve been wanting to write a post about my Prince Charming…It’s so easy for me to talk about my kids, but when I have to put into words what hubby means to me it’s difficult.
He is so funny! Can always make me laugh, even when Im mad. (which sometimes drives me crazy!) He has such a great sense of humor, kind of dirty at times, but still super funny!
He loves to play with the kids. He’ll get down on the floor and crawl around with them. They love it, and so does he. When they do this, I love to get out the video camera and just make it a memory.
He works hard for us. He is so amazing. He works two jobs so that I can work part time to be with the kids more. I don’t tell him often, but I appreciate it more than he knows. He never takes times off of work, and even does work on the side. He is truly amazing.
He accepts my family without a question (even when I am not so nice about his) they needed a place to live and there wasn’t even a second that he hesitated. It wasn't even a question. “Thank you baby!!”
He loves me…probably more than anyone ever has. He thinks I’m beautiful, even when I don’t. He thinks' I’m sexy, even when I don’t. He loves to flirt with me, joke with me, and pretty much just be goofy with me! I love it. He makes me feel so loved, sometimes I don’t know how to react.
“I know I don’t tell you nearly enough honey, I love you more than these words can express. You are my heart and soul, and there is no one else I’d rather be walking through life with than you! You are my life and the air I breathe. I could never do this without you.”
Until next time….don’t forget to floss!!

Not me Monday!
Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.
It sure wasn't freezing out this morning. And if it was, there would be no way I’d bring Prince L out without his hat! Nope, not me! I would make sure the find the lost hat, before leaving the house!
Speaking of the cold weather…there’s no way I’d drag my bundled up children, costumes and all, to Boo! at the Zoo. No way would I go and spend a few hours walking around in the freezing cold, especially with a 10 month old!!
I really don’t think it was me that put a few extra toys in Prince L’s crib in hopes that he’d just play in the morning instead of crying and waking me up..(he didn’t give 2 hoots about those toys anyways)
Finally…I’m pretty sure it wasn’t my husband that was feeding Prince L last night and pulled a dried up booger out of his nose, then handed it to me..that is so gross and I know my husband has more class than that!
Ok, that’s all I have for the week…until next time, don’t forget to floss!!

The Rock and Roll hall of fame..Cleveland Browns and a few others?
The Cleveland Rock Hall…ever been there? I haven’t and I live about 20 minutes east of it.
Ever seen the Cleveland Browns lose a game in person? No? Me either.
How about Labron James? Ever seen him running down the court? You guessed it. Me either.
I was recently on a website that gives me ideas of things to blog about, when I came across this: What tourist attractions do you live by, that you’ve never seen? It’s funny, because all of the things Cleveland is known for, I have never seen. I guess I must be waiting for an engraved invitation. Wonder if they sent it out yet?
Of those that I haven’t seen, the only one I actually want to see is a Cavs game. Are there any attractions in your area that you’ve never seen? Let me know!
Until next time, don’t forget to floss!!

5 question Friday…on a Saturday!
I know, I’m a day late..Oh well! Head on over to Mama M’s place and check out her “Five question Fridays” It makes you think, and it’s a fun time!
1. What phrase, or phrases, do you say a lot (holy cow, geez, seriously?)
Well if were talking out loud, I say “oh my god” a lot. But if I’m typing or texting I say “ lol” way too much!
2. Swimming: Are you a kamikaze off the boat, take the plunge from the deep end, or a gradual, slow submersion from the shore or shallow end kind of person?
I almost always have to ease my way in from the kiddie pool.
3. Have any tattoos? If not, what would you get?
I have 2. The first one I regret and I am determined to get it covered. It’s a very ugly “butterfly type thing” on my foot. I was in such a hurry to get a tattoo I got that crap! The second one I love. My sister and I both got the same thing. It’s actual notes from the sheet music to “only the good die young” by Billy Joel. We got in in memory of our mom who died at the very young age of 45, and whom was also a huge Billy Joel fan.
4. What is your favorite tree?
Cherry blossom trees are so pretty!
5. Two pronged question: What is your favorite non-physical thing about your spouse? What is your favorite physical thing about your spouse or significant other?
I love that he loves to flirt with me! It’s so cute! I love his smile and his cute little butt!!

Not Me Monday!!!
This is so much fun! Head on over to MckMamma's place and join in the fun!!
After being home from work on my long weekend, for only 2 of the 4 days. I did not tell my husband I'd rather go to work because it's less stressful and they pay me to be there! Nope, I'd never want to be anywhere but with my babies!
Also on a family outing to the farm park yesterday, I did not lose Prince L's binky. Nope! I'd never lose that thing, it's more precious than gold!
And there's no way, I'd keep saying "yes" every time Princess M asked for another candy corn, just to get her out of my hair! I don't use candy as a babysitter! That would go against all I believe in, especially being a DA (dental assistant) and all!
Never would I leave my beautiful babies in the car while I ran into the gas station to complain to the attendant! (i could see them from the window). Nope! I don't leave my kids alone for a even a second!
And lastly I know it wasn't me that used their baby's shirt to wipe a booger off of his face. That's just disgusting and I'd never do that!
I hope you got some laughs from me! And until next time, don't forget to floss!

Honorable mention.
So last night Princess M had her very first cheerleading competition. I use the term competition lightly. It was mostly younger girls, between the ages of 5 and 9 doing cute little cheers.
All the teams got awarded for one thing or another. Most spirit, loudest team, most entertaining..you get the point.
Our team got Most Spirited team!!
There were a few teams that took this very seriously. Back flips and all! Very seriously. But mostly, it was just a fun event.
The 2nd half of the night consisted of girls doing jumps and tumbles. They had the girls mixed into age categories and they each did a cheer jump, or back flip. Well my sweet little girl got honorable mention! I know it didn't really count for much, but when they said her name, I really did choke up just a little. I don't’ even know if she really understood what was going on, but she was so proud of that green ribbon! When they called her name she walked halfway out onto the floor, then looked back at her coaches, like..”should i do that jump again, or what?” It was really cute! This is pretty much the end of the cheer season for our town, but I know she loved it so much, we’ll be doing this next year too!
Until next time, don’t forget to floss!

The Best Day.
I absolutely love this song. It’s just a girl talking about her Mother, and the day they had. It’ the best!
Taylor Swift, The Best Day Lyrics
I'm five years old and it's getting cold
I've got my big coat on
I hear your laugh and look up smiling at you
I run and run
Past the pumpkin patch and the tractor rides
Look now the sky is gold
I hug your legs and fall asleep on the way home
I don't know why all the trees change in the fall
I know you're not scared of anything at all
Don't know if Snow White's house is near or far away
But I know I had the best day with you today
I'm thirteen now and don't know how my friends could be so mean
I come home crying and you hold me tight and grab the keys
And we drive and drive until we found a town far enough away
And we talk and window shop till I forgot all their names
I don't know who I'm gonna talk to now at school
But I know I'm laughing on the car ride home with you
Don't know how long it's gonna take to feel okay
But I know I had the best day with you today
I have an excellent father
His strength is making me stronger
God smiles on my little brother
Inside and out he's better than I am
I grew up in a pretty house and I had space to run
And I had the best days with you
There is a video I found from back when I was three
You set up a paint set in the kitchen and you're talking to me
It's the age of princesses and pirate ships and the seven dwarfs
Daddy's smart and you're the prettiest lady in the whole wide world
Now I know why all the trees change in the fall
I know you were on my side even when I was wrong
And I love you for giving me your eyes
Staying back and watching me shine and I didn't know if you knew
So I'm taking this chance to say that I had the best day with you today
Five question Friday!
I love doing this..Head on over to My little life to check it out and join in the fun!
1. What is the one thing that you reach for the most in a day (excluding phones, computer or children's butts for spankings)? When I’m at work, its a pen..I feel like I can never find one! and at home, I’d have to say Prince L’s binky!
2. What is the farthest you have been from home? Myrtle Beach…Loved it!
3. What kind of cell phone do you have? Love it or hate it?Well I just got a Samsung Magnet..I don't hate it, but I do wish the keys were a little bigger for texting.
4. Coke or Pepsi? Diet coke…100%
5. If you could go back and change anything about your wedding day, what would it be and why? To have an actual wedding ceremony, and not go to the court house.

A letter to my Mother…
I often wish we had been closer. I also wish there was a way for me to let go of so many things I hold inside. I have so much anger and resentment just sitting there. There are so many things I wish I could have had the courage to ask you.
Why did you let me go with him? Weren't you worried about me? How could you not know? HOW COULD YOU NOT KNOW?? Why didn’t you ever ask? Was it just easier to send me away with him, than to deal with me…and love me?
Why did you send me to school in dirty clothes? Why didn’t you pack me a lunch? Why didn’t you spend time with me? Why didn’t you tell me about boys? Friends? Sex? Why did you call me stupid? A bitch? Why didn’t you take better care of me, of them??? We were just kids! Babies. Children. They were worthless men…where are they now?
…Why didn’t you love me? Yes I’m sure you did…but I just never felt it.
What about being a mother? Giving birth? Having a newborn? Having a daughter? Having a son? I have no idea what I’m doing. None whatsoever…I wing it every day. I question every little thing…everything! “Will this screw her up?” “Will she remember this advice?” “Should I even feed him this?” “Should I let her have another pack of fruit-snacks” “Did I yell too loud?”
I know after the alcohol wore off, and you became sober you were finally a different person. But then It was too late, I had no idea who you were. And I was too mad to find out. I never thanked you for letting me live with them.
“MOMMY, THANK YOU SO MUCH…YOU SAVED ME FROM MYSELF THE DAY YOU LET HER TAKE ME IN..WHEN I THINK OF HAPPY TIMES WITH YOU, I HAVE TO GO BACK TO BEING 3 OR 4. YOU TOOK ME TO SCHOOL…I DIDN’T WANT YOU TO GO…I BEGGED AND PLEADED…CRIED! YOU HAD TO GO..YOU’D SEE ME SOON. THEN THE SCHOOL DAY ENDED AND GUESS WHO CAME TO PICK ME UP? YOU…THERE YOU WERE AND I RAN TO YOUR ARMS…I ALWAYS JUST WANTED YOUR LOVE AND ATTENTION..I HOPE WHERE EVER YOU ARE..YOU CAN READ THIS. REST IN PEACE MOMMY”
My 5 year old goes to a concert
When I first bought the tickets I thought It was a great idea. I mean she loves Taylor Swift, so why not? Then I had them for so long and started thinking maybe it wasn't such a great idea after all. I just kept thinking “a 5 year old, going to a concert?” There was actually a point when I thought about selling the tickets. I am so glad I didn’t!!!
I wish I had pictures to show what an amazing time Princess M had. She danced, sang, clapped jumped up and down! Pretty much had the time of her life! I don’t know If it was the show, or my daughters excitement that I enjoyed more. I’m sure when I look back on that concert in a few years the only thing I’ll remember is Princess M telling me “thank you sooo much for my surprise Mommy! It was so much fun..Taylor swift is so pretty”
You’re the prettiest of all, Princess M!!
Until next time, don’t forget to floss!!!

Not Me Monday!!!
Please come and join all the fun over at MckMama's place. It is a safe place to admit the things you definitely couldn't and wouldn't ever happen with you around.
I didn't make up a lie about having "dinner in the crock pot" to my neighbor, to get out of having dinner at her house. Nope! Not me, I love spending time with my neighbors.
There's no way I put on The Mickey Mouse Club House for my 9 month old to keep him occupied while I was reading a magazine. I never make the TV a babysitter!
I also didn't put a headband on my baby boy, just to get a few laughs...I'd never torture my kids for my own satisfaction!
Also there's no way that when I moved the couch today to find my cell phone and found a bunch of other crap under there (IE: cheerios, dryer sheet, board books) that I grabbed the cell phone and pushed the couch right back into position. Nope! There's no way I'd leave a bunch of junk under my couch.
And finally there certainly isn't a pile of clean towels sitting on my couch waiting to be folded while I type this. Nope...my clothes get folded right from the dryer, they never sit for over a day. NOPE! NOT AT ALL!

Seriously, I named my blog this for a reason…
It truly amazes me how many people truly do not care about or have no knowledge of oral health!
Your children should see the dentist by their 1st birthday. Not their third birthday, or when they start kindergarten…their 1st birthday!
Please do not assume your 5 year old is brushing their teeth correctly. Actually, please don’t assume your 7 or 10 year old is for that matter!! If your child is younger, let them do it then you do it again. If your child is older check their work…just like in school! If you take them to the dentist and they have cavities..don’t wonder why. They are children and need help with this.
Make sure you teach your children how to floss. Make sure you know how to floss before you teach them! Please stop sawing the floss!! If your gums bleed when you floss, it’s not because of the floss. It’s because you don’t floss.
Also, please do not instill your fear of the dentist into them! You may not realize it, but they hear you saying “ oh my god, I hate the dentist…the sound of the drill is blah blah blah” Just stop! Why do you think your child has to be put to sleep for dental work? Because someone terrified them of the dentist so much that they freak out every time they have to go!
Just stop..and don’t forget to floss!

Kitty cats and chickens.
I absolutely love fall! The smells, colors, clothes, activities. Pretty much everything!! I love that we finally live in a home that we can decorate for the season! Before we moved, we had never decorated for fall. This past weekend we got right to it!
Well, hubby did anyway. :)
We also got this pretty awesome pumpkin..Princess M seems to really like it.
I also got some really pretty mauve colored mums. Sorry, no pictures of those, I’m pretty sure everyone knows what mums look like.
I can’t wait to get Princess M’s costume together so I can post pictures of that too. She’s being a ballerina/kitty and Prince L is being a chicken. The first time I tried the costume on him, I think I laughed for about 5 minutes straight. Then he started laughing, so I laughed even harder and on and on..you get the picture.
Until next time, don’t forget to floss!

Not me Monday
I've been following MckMama for a while now, and I've never done my own "not me Monday". So here goes!
I didn't give my 9 month old french fries from McDonald's today, not me! I always give my children healthy and nutritious foods.
I didn't let my 5 year old roam around the children's section of the library while I looked at the magazine rack. (it's within arms reach). I'd never walk away from my child, even for a second. Nope! Not me!
I didn't tell my hubby I'd watch a movie with him, only to fall asleep. Not me! I always spend quality time with my man!
I didn't let Prince L play with my germ infested keys, just too keep him quiet. I'd never do that, not me!!!
I'd also NEVER, EVER FORGET TO FLOSS! NOT ME, I FLOSS AFTER EVERY MEAL. :)

Music to my ears
I think the best sound in the world is your baby’s first cry. You wait 9 (almost 10) months for it, then one day..there it is. Loud and clear! Letting you know, it’s all going to be OK.
It was music to my ears, for sure!
Then as they grow, you talk and try to teach them to talk. They make sounds, screeches and giggles. But still you’re waiting for that “real” first Mama, or Dada. Then one day, there they are saying “mamamamama” and your heart literally skips a beat! It makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Almost like your heart is melting.
That’s how I felt today, it was music to my ears!
I know he’s not really calling me Mama, but still just the sound of it made my day! I love you little man.
Until next time, don’t forget to floss!!!

1. What celebrity have you been told you look like?
I've never really been told that I look like a celeb. Hmmm, and I don't see a resemblance to anyone either.
2. What is your all time favorite movie, any special reason why?
Hands down, would have to be Grease! #1 I love all the songs, and I know all the words! #2, It will always remind my of my mom, as she's the one who introduced me to it in the first place.
3. Since we're talkin' movies...Popcorn: overrated, underrated, or 'bout right?
Underrated! I think popcorn should be a food group! I am soo addicted, it isn't even funny.
4. Are you a glass half empty or half full kinda person?
My husband says I'm kind of a negative person. So I'd love to say I'm a glass Half Full kind of girl, but I'd be lying.
5. What perfume/cologne do you wear?
Heavenly, by Victoria's Secret. I just love that scent.

They say the clothes make the man…er woman.
Well apparently my clothes say I’m a bum! Ha!
Ever since I had Prince L (December) and haven’t been able to lose this last 12 (or 20) lbs I seem to live in my sweatpants, cotton shorts or gauchos. I almost never wear jeans. I recently broke down and bought one pair at a bigger size than I wore pre-Prince L.
You see, before I got pregnant with the Prince I had recently lost over 40lbs! It was great! I had bought so many new and might I add, very cute clothes. Then my dream came true…I found out I was pregnant!!! I was beyond excited. Then my worst dreams came true…I gained 40ish lbs. Ugh…I had worked so hard to lose it. Then my ass got huge, my hips got wider and my thighs got a new zip code.
So here I am almost 10 months later and and have lost half of what I had gained. I have no motivation to try and lost it again. I know my old jeans and cute sweaters should be motivation enough, but that’s not doing it!
Where do you get the motivation to work out? After working and taking care of the Prince and Princess I am beat! I just want to lay on the couch and eat junk food watch TV with my hubby---in my sweatpants!
Until next time…don’t forget to floss!

Family
What does family mean to you?
The person you chose to spend the rest of your life with?
Having the same parents?
Your sister?
Your brother?
A really close friend that your pretty certain God forgot to give you as a sister?
The people that are there when times get tough? That you can depend on, no matter what?
Before I started this post, I was feeling sorry for myself. I was feeling like I don't have much of a family. Obviously looking at these pictures I am very blessed! I guess I just needed a reminder.
When you’re feeling lonely like I was, just count your blessings. Even if you have to search through all your picture folders to do so!
Until next time…don’t forget to floss!!
